Just posted this over in the for sale forum.
Forged 1084...NS and copper fittings....Mammoth tooth handle.
My first time using mammoth tooth....interesting material.
Let me know what you think....good or bad.
Thanks for looking.

I really like this one - cery crips lines. This handle material can be a bit polarizing, but I am fond of it - particularly this toroise-shell-looking piece. One thing I am curious about is the cost - as comparable to say, mammoth and walrus ivory.

Beautiful! I especially like the copper treatment on the guard and the blade shaping.

On top of it all you've found the first piece of mammoth tooth that I didn't mind looking at. :D

Well done!

That is some really nice mammoth tooth. I love the lines on this one. Makes for an overall stunning little knife.

Generally, I don't like this material, but I really like this little knife.

I too normally don't like mammoth tooth (imagine that Joss, we agree :D ;) )
But this is an exceptional piece and its just a very nice little knife all around.

Great looking! Just don't take that hunter to the woods. Much less drop it. As the old Indian in The Out Law Jose Wales said, Its for looking at. Beautiful! MIke

Thanks fellas!
Roger, I would say the price is on par w/ mammoth ivory. Last year it seemed a bit less.....but at the Blade show this year the same set of scales were about double what they were last year.
I would love to use some walrus ivory sometime....but boy-o-boy that stuff is expensive.
Thanks again for the nice comments guys.:D
