Hi Guys , does anyone knows what type of a sealer should be used as a final coat on Mammoth Tooth scales on a fixed blade knife ? I was thinking of a spray type of thin fast drying varnish like the ones used for protecting arts . I polished the scales to a very nice patina but in my hand the scales feels like a bit sticky( maybe the humidity affects them ) !Thank you and i appreciate any suggestions

Superglue. Use latex gloved finger to spread it around. Let it dry overnight (at least) and then sand back and polish. You'll end up with a smooth glassy finish that will have sealed any pores and stabilise the material as well.
