Mammoth Tusk cross section slip joints

Very nice looking! Not a lot of comments? I work a lot with mammoth and stabilize myself. but using my methods I would be concerned how a crosscut like this would get used. Much like cutting wood cross-section. I'd want more rivets, but instead use a spacer that helps back it and absorb impact, maybe edging, not as much for looks as to ensure the ivory does not come unraveled. Possibly there are ways to stabilize that make this material more indestructible. I'd be interested in stabilize process, what luck you may have had in the past. Or if this is a knife not expected to take hard heavy use. I love the look for sure! Nice overall knife.
