Mammouth ivory mnadi on ebay

This is one of those auctions that may never reach the reserve price. Let's say that the reserve price is $450, and that I am willing to pay that much for the knife. I put in a maximum bid of $450, yet the current bid increment is only $2.50, and so I go in as a high bidder at around $205. If no one bids above me, my bid will never reach the reserve price, which I am willing to pay. This is the biggest problem I see in bidding on Ebay. The only way around this is to private e-mail the seller and offer an amount after the auction ends.

Wow, I like it!!!

Too bad its xmas time and I can't buy anymore gifts for myself right now:(

You would think that someone posting a high ticket item like that might give a little more info in their description. Is it new in box or used?? "birthdate"?? etc...

Actually that's not how it works. If the seller programs a reserve of say $100 and you bid $100, it will jump to the reserve price. The example you use is only true if your bid does not meet the reserve.
