It was as evenly matched as it gets. Old guy with knife vs old Black bear. I don't think it would've worked out in mankinds favor if it had been a Brownie. As for me In bear country give me a .454 casull in my pistol and a .45/70 rifle.

There was another old guy about a year or so ago who did in a bear with a Buck 110. That guy should be glad it was just a black bear for sure.
