Hi did you ever heard about this event?

Man survives cougar attack by killing it using a 7.5-centimetre pocket knife. I think the knife he used was a Buck mod .110.

Last night somebody told me of a similar case of a man killing a bear with a knife in Canada. Anyone have the details ?

I think that if I were to want to kill a cougar (which I don't), that I'd use a gun, rather than a pocket-knife..

I agree with you, I'd choose a gun as well!

Some one wrote that they thought the knife in the photo was a Buck 110. I think it looks like a Schrade Bear Paw.

What knife to you think it looks like?

I recall this was posted last year when the event was fresh.
The victim regretted taking out the knife because that left him no hands to defend his neck when the cougar try to go after that. That's why I carry one handed folders and bloody hate any law that makes it hard for me to do that.
