The more i use this sebenza the more i like it. I used it on a saltwater fishing trip last week, it was covered in salt and fish guts, but got home rinsed it off and it was like new.

I have recently handled two different models of the Sebenza, both decorated and not, Regular and Classic and I have to say, that I prefer the classic. I would also say that I'm glad I traded for the knife and didn't put out the $300 for it. I mean, it IS a very nice knife, but I don't think it has the personality of my Don Morrow trapper. It may be functionally perfect, and what more could you ask from a knife, but I may have wanted it to be more. Simple tool, and nice, but I could really see myself putting $300 elsewhere (say on a Obenauf Model 2, or a Marlowe Bulldog). I would definitely be wanting one of those if I had spent the $300 on the Sebbie. Maybe its just me.

Sincerely,
Anthony

P.S. Sorry if I hijacked the thread, it wasn't my intention.

Take it apart sometime for cleaning and take a good look at the pivot area. You'll see why these knives have a near "legendary" reputation. I don't mean to sound like a typical "Sebenzanista", but there's a reason why these knives have such a well-deserved following. ;)

Yeah these sebenzas are unreal. The finest damn knife ive ever had. It just never lets you down. Not to mention the perfect fit and finish. I dont see how a knife could be more perfect. If you enjoy perfection and the utmost in quality ; step up to a sebenza; you'll be glad you did.
