I've been out of action for the last few months and I was hoping the folder would have debuted by now. :confused:

Well, here's the deal; last year we decided to take advantage of the housing market and turned from renters into homeowners...awesome house, awesome location, and I didn't have to hock anyomore Busses to do it, LMAO!

So what is new around here? Any news on the folder, how about a reissue of the Scrapper 5LE, did Jerry ever finish the Holy Tearer Hula Hoop for Progunner?

I haven't even had time to fondle any of my own INFI over the last 10months...I think my wife buried the boxes that have them all...if anyone sees a couple boxes that say "FU*%ING FRAGILE, DROP AND DIE" please let me know.

LOL, we have all been waiting for the folder! Randucci will be here in 3, 2, 1...:)
 
I think I saw a picture of a new Busse Folder prototype. check Jaxxs posts after Blade 2011
 
Great things don't happen overnight. I'm sure Jerry wants this to be good enough to be able to put the Busse Logo on it.
It will come!
 
If/when Busse offers a folder I will have one. However, until then I have somewhat scratched that itch. When I picked up the LionSteel SR 1 at their Blade booth one of my first thoughts was. "now this is how Jerry Busse would build a folder". Entire handle and frame lock is one monolithic slab of titanium. No pins except for the blade stop. This is a real tank of a knife.
Even though it is heavy for pocket carry, it has replaced my Mnandi for now as my carry for dress pants, suits, etc., because I can't bear leaving it at home.
 
Folders are a totally different animal to manufacture than a fixed blade. Training, machinery, R & D. And unless you hire a whole new crew the flow of other INFI stops to get everyone up to speed on the folder. I guess they could grind the blades then send them out of house to be assembled into folders. Then there is the price. I hate to think what one of these would cost. Probably make a Serbenza like bargain. I'm with RickJ on this one and keep cranking out the fixed blades.
 
Put the rumors to rest. Who needs it anyway? :foot: Making the best fixed blades in the world is enough for me. :D
 
The folder prototypes exist in 2 forms, with multiple blade shapes. Some are standard, others with the 'bat' tip style. The name Cubera had previously been copyrighted by Jerry, but I believe it wasn't renewed. The patented folder locking mechanism still stands, and is in use in the newer prototypes seen posted by jaxx.

Whether there will ever be a production run is anyone's guess, but it could happen in the next 10-20 years.

Hey that Holy Tearer Hula Hoop was supposed to be top secret man! Home owner now huh, be sure to send me your new address for the Christmas card list. We might actually get some out this year. :)

I'm not sure if I can trust you with my new hideout location. After all; the Hula Hoop idea was mine and Jerry's, and he was supposed to present it to you during your HOTRT promotion from Princess to Lady...or Queen, I can't remember really.

Hope everything is good with everyone and that 'Ducci hasn't gained access to the shop yet...we don't need any Nuclear Neutered Mutant Mojos floating around:eek:
