Man uses knife in Survival situation to save Son's life!!!!

I think this is the best place for this, if not a mod can move it, A man saved his son's life from a Mountain lion with a pocket knife. It was on the news. I will post a link in a few!

The Mountain lion was on the six year old boy, the Father used his pocket knife and stabbed the lion in the chest causing it to run away!
 
Heard about that earlier today. Don't know what knife he used but it did the job in so far as stopping the attack.

This is a very positive example why we all should always carry a pocket knife, yea for the most part for general utility but when you use it to save your Child's life, Man the Dad rocks. Yes I know all good Fathers would do the same but not all good Fathers carry a knife.

One of my best friends was walking with his 2 retrievers when the female jambed her snout inside the male's collar, by the time he caught up with them the female was barely breathing, he cut the collar off with a Spyderco Lady Bug that I gave him for his key ring...female survived.
 
I saw a show a while back about a female park ranger who used a small forceps to stab a mountain lion in the eye. She kept stabbing till she actually killed it with the forceps. That's survival instinct.
 
wow, that like being a honey badger :)

keep reading about more and more cat attacks. guess the environment is doing pretty well now...
