Looks like a man vs wild marathon is on right now, and a new season starts tonight....

Say what ya want, but the scenery is gorgeous, and it entertaining to watch him fumble around.....Better then most stuff on nowadays.

I agree. He is pretty much the anti survivor, but 1000x's better than the drivel currently spinning on cable tv

I'm watching it right now. I think most of us can filter the BS from the legitimate, which makes it worth watching.

Yeah I have to agree - I don't learn a lot watching the show - but I do enjoy watching more than all the other crap that is on TV.

Bear does show some valuable things sometimes, right now I just can't think of any.

I will watch the marathon and the new episode tonight.

So I see that Bayley's website now says this about the Bear Grylls knife " My apologies but the S4 model is no longer available or branded as the Signature Bear Grylls Knife in any way."

Do you think that means he is gonna be using a different knife? or something went wrong with their deal?

I keep finding myself hoping that the sharks surrounding his raft will eat him or that he'll fall of the log that he's shimying across, that the rattler will bite him, you get the idea...

There's some good stuff though, occasionally.

Yea I know, I know....

Im a wuss though, I didnt sleep much last night, and I think Tina would cut me if I bailed right now..

Thanks, checking it out now. I'm definitely more of a Survivorman fan. But I'm sure that's already been debated in this forum before...

Oh yea man, beat to death. I too prefer Survivorman, by far. I heard Cody Lundin is doing a show with them....ought to be cool.

Anyone like Surviving Disaster? I skipped it at first, watched one episode and liked it. Not woodcraft, but I thought it was still pretty decent.

Am I the only one who can't stand him?

Yeah, I know he was SAS Recon, etc., but his first season was a sham and he still travels with a full camera crew & medical team.

To me it's like overlooking Michael Jackson for being a pedophile because he was a great dancer...

I dont watch him for any educational value at all. However, he has a job that lets him travel to exotic locations, and jam around in the woods, which IMO is pretty cool.

I watch to see some places Ill probably never see, have a laugh or 2 at his antics, and thats about all. Some good plant info too.

I dont have anything personal against "bear", Id share a beer with him anyday, but probably not a foxhole. The fact that he travels with crew, doesnt matter to me. Shit I watch Sons of Anarchy too, but dont hold it against them that they arent a real club.

I think comparing a guy who might grab a hotel and shower between takes to a child molester isnt even close to the same thing. I dont morally object to Bear, as I do with Micheal.

Like I said....Just TV.

My wife and I watch for sheer entertainment value (he just fell on his ass:D) and it's nice to see the outdoors in various locations...I give more credit to Bear's photographers than himself. Thanks for the heads up! The new show is on tonight...

I like the new Man VS Wild slogan.

Bear Grylls doesn't show you how to STAY alive ... he shows you how to BE alive.

They keep playing that on every commercial break it seems.

I just keep thinking "he sure doesn't show me how to stay alive"

Still good clean fun to watch though.
