I kinda agree, but simply stated, he isnt alone, and it IS a production.
Now Les,.... thats a different story
 
MvW is more of a show for entertainment rather then pure survival techniques. I mean come on, let's be realistic, a show that was all survival skills wouldn't be enjoyable to watch for an hour.
 
Pretty good entertainment,IMO. With a little bit of technique if you pay attention. Too bad the old show Fear Factor is no longer on, Bear would clean up!
 
I enjoy the shows as entertainment. If you try real hard, you might be able to find a gold-nugget or two, but enjoy some neat scenery and a crazy guy run, climb or swim out of some different locations; it's not an educational show!

My favorite survival move of his is to get wet as soon as possible.

Not BS that the guy has done stuff but the show has likely gotten some people in trouble.

If you want good survival and outdoors Ray Mears programs are as good as it gets. Most have a major history lessons as well.
