Man, Woman, Wild knife

I was watching Man, Woman, Wild today and saw an interesting knife. Myke's wife was using a new model hunting knife that I had seen before, but I can't remember where and what brand. Anyone else know?

Myke has a couple knives that several companies have made and put his name somewhere in it. TOPS being one of them. I'm not sure if this is one of them, because I didn't get to watch the whole episode or pay much attention, but if I remember correctly...Did it look kind of like a Tom Brown Tracker? If so, I think the one that TOPS made for Myke looks alot like it. I could be mistaken.

I don't think it's a TOPS knife. IIRC it's a new hunting knife that someone came out with.

I saw the one last night (9/23 friday) where they caught a wild pig in a snare, and Mykel killed it with what looked like a Busse-type chopper sized knife, and Ruth gutted it with a WSK of some sort.

I don't think it is a WSK knife. It is a 2011 hunting knife that I have seen somewhere, but I can't remember where.

This the one you're talking about? I didn't even see this knife when I watched the episode. I have no idea what it is, and I had a hard time getting any kind of good picture of it. Perhaps the picture will atleast help -some-.

Scales looked like they were micarta, and I saw perhaps some kind of maker's mark but it wasn't clear enough. Good luck, man. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Sure looks lime the one from the video. There was a site that listed all of their gear broken down by episode 6 months or so ago. It seemed they updated it after each episode last season, I would imagine they'd do the same this season, but I'm getting nowhere finding it.

Yes both knives were tops on last nights new show, mike had the tops armageddon and his wife had the other tops knife.

Wow,nobody mentioned the fact that we're talking about the second season of the show.

There is a diversity of blades in this show.
But Tops are seen a lot, not only his strange own design.
The week before in the jungle they simply had Ontario D-handle machetes.

It definitely looked like one. All I noticed was that it was a big chopper-type knife. I really thought the one Ruth used to gut the pig was a WSK, it looked like it had those funky serrations on the spine and the compound grinds on the blade.

This was the episode where he fell in a hole and hurt his shoulder, and Ruth had to look for him and pull him out.

Anyone notice out of all the survival shows, that Myke and his wife are the only one who seem to wear USGI style boots compared to those who do wear shoes that is... They seem to usually wear some sort of civilian hiking/mountain boot. His wife is usually wearing some sort of Jungle boot, but I have no clue what brand.

The reason I mention it is that for camping or hiking, alot of attention are put on boots made specifically for those fields. I have found that my old jungle or jump boots are a heck of alot better on my feet than some of these brands are like Montrail, Nevados, etc. Could be just me but I though I'd share.
