man woman wild????

It looks cool, I was wondering the same. What's up with the circular cutout, is it sharp in there for roots? Those two don't mind putting their blades in the fire do they? I know it's a shovel, but I'd cook on a rock rather than ruin the temper of my sharpened tools.

The handle looked a lot like the American Tomahawk Comanche that is made by Fox knives.

to me is looked like a blank for a military shovel,
before it was stamped out,
and then modified.
weird looking.

It's something Hawke came up with. It's called Hawke's HASP - Hammer-Axe-Shovel-Pick.

It's made by a joint endeavor of FOX Knives USA & Sniper Blade Works.

did anyone notice that he was using his knive from TOPS?

I decided to check it out one day, and saw him use this big knife in the first episode.. I thought, hey that looks like my Armageddon. It was, well the Tops version anyway.. Dont know about the show, but it does look like you might learn a trick or two. I did wonder if thats what wild boars look like on that island though..;-)

Old post alert! Hawke now is marketing a full line of tactical/survival cutlery/tools, and I must say, the materials seem to be well chosen, but I don't know what Hawke was smoken' when "he designed" the knives that bear his name. I would expect to see "Frost" stamped on the blades by the shape of them... What really got me was a YouTube vid of him talking at a shot show about how his knives were optimized for survival, when they look like they belong on Batman's tool belt. The explanations for his designs seem to pulled straight from his backside and sound "survivalish" but go against a huge amount of precedent that those who "thump" on large outdoor survival/tactical knives have arrived at. I dont doubt that Hawke is a decent guy, but this crap is tantamount to selling a brand new Kia as though is we're a Hummer or a Porsche
