Hi everyone, I haven't been on in a few days but I have received a couple triangle boxes. This is a 7 1/4 long 3 ounce baby Hasiya from Manakamana. I bought the Red Moon special 23in 40oz Chitlangi and Auntie gave me a gift with it for the Tihar holiday. I cant stress enough what a wonderful person and what a great company HI is. I can go on and on but I am sure you all feel the same way.

Its very sharp its entire length and surprising useful. I have it in front of me while I watch tv,read, or just veg out. Its always in my hands and I gave it a workout on a recent hike. It makes super sharp point sticks lol, its also the best and coolest pencil sharpener I own. I have also cut rope and some vegetables with it. It is a very useful and beautiful design. The wood handle cracked in NV so Auntie had someone redo it in antler.

Enjoy...

Its a perfect little size for small jobs but the 5160 steel is huge on performance.

Great pix and post, thank you for sharing

I have a smaller version and I think it was a non-HI kami who made it, but it's the coolest letter opener ever. To sharpen mine, I use a plastic tube (a Brownells screwdriver came in it), wrapped sand paper around it, and used it to work the inside edge. It worked surprisingly well. It went from really dull to scary sharp and was an education in sharpening wierd angles:D Just thought I'd throw that out there. Take care.

Cool little utility blades!. Mine were in need of sharpening as well. They are very useful to keep by the couch for cutting your bills in half or mutilating junk mail for fire starting!

Thanks for the sharpening tip. I have been using a wooden backed leather strop but I have discovered the edges on most of my khuks are a little rippled or wavy. It's due to their hand hammered construction. The strop tends to leave dull areas that fall withing the lateral ripples. A wooden dowel wrapped with sandpaper might be just the trick to sharpen them up an it will work on the edge of this little multitool too. I use it to open letters mainly but it can be used for many small tasks.
