Manbug 2? How about a bigger manbug?

I like the blade shape of the manbug, jester, stretch, and the ukpk "drop point". Manbug is too small, jester is gone, and stretch and ukpk are a little big for my needs. How about a manbug around the 2.25-2.5" blade mark (or a mini-ukpk drop point), and throw a wire clip on it.
I'm just mourning the loss of my beloved Jester.

doesn't the bug series fit on the small end spectrum of the endura/delica line? A delica could already be it.

Bring back the Co-pilot in one of the new super-steels!

Delica is sort of a leaf blade shape, but pretty big difference in blade length between Delica and manbug. 1.88" for the Bug, 2.88 for the Delica. Not really any Spydies in between except Chapparal, but it's a leaf blade. Air is a Wharnie blade. Sort of a void in sizes between 2 and 3"..

it sure isn't in the same line, but I have a Cat in that range and it's a great EDC.

The cat and/or ambitious would be more similar in hand to the manbug than the dragonfly is with its choil, plus you get G10 and if you want to ditch the clip, seeing as how the manbug doesn't have one, you've only gotta look as little sets of holes (or fill them with epoxy/pigment) not huge slots like on the dragonfly.

I'd personally love to see a 3" bladed knife, with the overall height of the manbug. Basically a knife the size of the Delica, but as slim and trim as the Manbug, with a wire clip. An ultra slim, low profile, lightweight knife with 2.75" of cutting edge. You could keep it clipped in a breast pocket or the back of your tie.

Goal would be to keep it at 1oz or so.

The CAT might do it. I'll have to research that model.

ETA: After a few vids, It looks like the CAT is a winner. I'm surprised it's not a more popular choice. How do you think the 440C would compare to other steels in the class?

in my own user experience it's not that far off from VG-10, just a notch below, no less! Sharpens very easily and gets a lazer beam edge with the blade's thin taper. The latest edition has jimpings on the choils. Great little knife, I work in an office and I feel it's as big of an EDC I could reasonably carry in such an environment.
