Is it normal that when blade is open if u press on hump above spydie hole the blade makes pop/folds down? i though if blade is out u have to press the lock bar to disengage in order to fold blade close position. Order a 2nd one does the same thing but actually worst doesnt stay locked at all. Does the spring have something to do w it...spring set in position too far back?

Somethings not right. Either you are pressing very hard or the lock is not functioning properly. Is there any pocket lint in between the blade and lock face?

no excessive pressure at all especially on the 2nd one. look like to me the front of the lockbar doesnt grip the back part of blade around pivot hole when blade is out. could be setting the spring/lockbar but how much can u move those?

There is not much adjustment on a Manbug.

The spring sits in a small pocket and puts upward tension on the lockbar. It can be slid out of the pocket a small amount, but not enough to make the lockbar loose enough to allow that kind of slipping that I am aware of.

In my opinion I would send it back. Those Spyderco models can get messed up pretty easy if you are not very careful on re-assembly.

Also wondering if the method you described is how I mentally imagine it could your grip be applying just enough force on the lockback to release its engagement enough that force to the spine can pop it out of the lock.

It shouldn't do that at all. My first thought is "did you get fakes?" My second thought is "Spyderco's warranty and repair department NEEDS to see those."

in return window sending them both back probably for 3rd. loosen both screen pull blade out and press down front of lockbar keeps it in locked position but then tighten screws back (not super tight/just normal). only stays locked once until fold down out again.

kinda got one to stay locked. when blade in open position slightly tap top spydie hole w thumb hear a small click that means the lock snapped in place. if i dont do that step the blade can be disengaged anytime. so this knife is both a slipit and lockback lol

If it's not locking then the lockbar isn't fully dropping into the recess on the blade, or it is but there's a gap. Send it back.
Or take it apart and see if there are any burrs on the blade or lockbar. If so file them off. If not, first check if the lock bar is flush when the blade is open, if so it's fubar if not, try filing the vertical face of the lockbar closest to the lock, just a wee bit, to see if it will seat.

Perhaps the Lockbar needs a bit of "tinketing".
Could it be too long to drop into place?

Stop doing that, and it won't happen. [From the Logic Vault of one of my heroes - Donald Rumsfeld].

that could be it looked in my dragonfly that part is smooth sending these back.

got the 3rd one its the same thing doesnt stay locked. wonder is it cuz new gota wear it or just quality control. all 3 letter on end of barcode DU so newer stock April 2021 must be all from same batch. I would think after sharpening goes to inspection open/close knife pretty noticeable it doesnt lock w slight push on down above spydie hole w thumb. and no its not a fake nor is any of my finger placement near the lockbar.

Why not try fixing it yourself? At this point in time: the USPS has had more fun with your knives; than you have.

what more can be done other then spring...maybe bending it. or grinding the recess area were the lockbar seats in. why go thru all that trouble on brand new knife may end up making it worst.

If the blade won't lock in place: it's already about as bad as it can get...
Whatever you decide to do: good luck! 👍

I have two manbugs that get a lot of alternating daily use,
Never had that issue, if I had, either one would have gone back to Spyderco
I have sliced up piles of cardboard boxes with both without issue
