Manbug question

I recently received a Manbug through Amazon. I noticed the lock spring is thinner (more narrow?) than the lock bar, and it is set to one side (i.e. not centered). Is this normal? There are no stores local to me to compare it with another Manbug. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. For some reason it will not let me attach a picture.
