Hey all my first post in this Spyderco forum. I have my 1st Spyderco arriving this week, a hap40 manbug. Always admired the small spydercos from afar and figured it was time to see for myself. I've seen this brought up a few times in other forums/posts but want to know if there will ever be a production manbug with a wireclip? Also has anyone found a solid / reliable way to add on to your manbug? Please feel free to weigh in on any of these or just show your general like or love for this little knife. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Congrats on the Manbug! I carry a ZDP-189 MB in the bottom of my pocket almost everyday. It really is a handy little knife. I guess only Sal could say for sure but I doubt they'll add a clip to the MB. It just doesn't seem like it would be very practical as the knife is too small. I suppose you could try to add a Dragonfly clip but I don't see how you'd secure it. You can't use the the screw set up from the Dragonfly and a single screw on one side would likely pull out of the FRN. I could be wrong here but it's not something I'd try even if I wanted to add a clip.

I have thought about taking my man bug to the Spyderco factory and seeing if they would put a clip on it.
So close to perfection in a little knife, yet, so far........

I hope they never add a clip to this little gem. This is one of my favorite knives. However, some people have added clips to this, the Jester, and I think even the Ladybug.

Thanks for the replies. I figure if they came w a clip those folks who wanted to drop them in the pocket could just take them off. I've been carrying a couple of small traditionally lately and I love the size but prefer a small knife clipped to my pocket of waistband. Again I have never even held a manbug yet, so it may show up tomorrow and I could completely change my mind!

It has arrived......and it is glorious. I will say that now its' in my hands I can see how the lanyard option is maybe more viable than a clip. Having said that, this thing is awesome. I'll have more to say after some more time with it but so far I am very pleased. Small knives rule!
