I owned several LBs and gave them away to admiring mechanic friends....plenty of knife for most jobs and a heck of a cutter you can really put some weight behind...
Recently bought a MB as much out of curiosity and at a closeout which put it at LB price....the differences are unremarkable and in being without one for a while, not really anything to pick up on at all....the MB regrettably only comes in full flat grind so no real strength gain in slightly taller blade, weight is so close you need a digital scale to detect....and MB not available in cool colors without flavor of month pricier steels....i wanted VG10 so have a black and silver knife....i miss my foliage digital green LB....six of one, half dozen of other, otherwise....WILL say the MB has a bit more upsweep which can come in handy for some cutting/slicing tasks and giving very tip a break from carrying all that load......both are invisible to carrier as soon as they stop moving, pants or even shirt pocket you find yourself patting yourself down to make sure still there or not forgotten....one of the best knives in the world due to that alone and VG10 is not your father's Oldsmobile or stainless steel....great little knives, all...
As for steels, the VG10 has never even speckled with me and constant pocket carry....if the H1 LB is a true Salt version with rustproof internals i would get one as my LB lockspring showed rust after a trip through washer and drier....
