Manbug vs. Ladybug

I am considering getting a small spydie to put on my keychain and these seem like the two options. I like the color options of the ladybug and the fact that it comes in h-1 steel. However, I am a guy so I am wondering if the extra $7-$10 for the manbug is worth it? For reference, I can hold a dragonfly using the finger choil with all my fingers on the knife.

I owned several LBs and gave them away to admiring mechanic friends....plenty of knife for most jobs and a heck of a cutter you can really put some weight behind...

Recently bought a MB as much out of curiosity and at a closeout which put it at LB price....the differences are unremarkable and in being without one for a while, not really anything to pick up on at all....the MB regrettably only comes in full flat grind so no real strength gain in slightly taller blade, weight is so close you need a digital scale to detect....and MB not available in cool colors without flavor of month pricier steels....i wanted VG10 so have a black and silver knife....i miss my foliage digital green LB....six of one, half dozen of other, otherwise....WILL say the MB has a bit more upsweep which can come in handy for some cutting/slicing tasks and giving very tip a break from carrying all that load......both are invisible to carrier as soon as they stop moving, pants or even shirt pocket you find yourself patting yourself down to make sure still there or not forgotten....one of the best knives in the world due to that alone and VG10 is not your father's Oldsmobile or stainless steel....great little knives, all...

As for steels, the VG10 has never even speckled with me and constant pocket carry....if the H1 LB is a true Salt version with rustproof internals i would get one as my LB lockspring showed rust after a trip through washer and drier....

I'll be honest, I have two Manbugs, a superblue and a zdp and I keep the SB as a backup but ZDP is a fantastic steel (one of the best I've used) and that bug gets used more than any other spydie that I have out of a dozen or so.
I say go with a manbug, you'll be surprised how much you use it! I carry the bug every day, the bug and a SE Endura at work and the bug and one of my nicer spydie on the weekend. It fits perfect in a coin pocket or on your Keychain

The MB has just enough differences to make it a better knife and it is not as prone to blade play, I do not think.

Hollow grind versus flat grind is the real question.

I gifted two lady bugs and kept my manbug.

Both are great. It takes hands on experience to decide which one you like best.

The game changer would be a Manbug Hawkbill in SE in H1

I would imagine there will be one eventually and I'd definitely buy it. The one I'd love to see though is a ZDP Spyderedge. I have the Delica SE ZDP and would love to have the same blades in an Endura and Manbug but I know the bug will never happen :(

The two look near identical, but the lb has a thinner blade and slight weight reduction in the handle. Most people would think they were the same knife. The manbug is definitely more durable, the lb cuts just as well.
