Missed the first two days, but made it for the last two, and closing ceremony. Pictures still need some cropping and such, so they will be a bit "rough" looking. Anyways here are a few out of probably 150. I would have taken more close up by the rope, but I already felt bad for waiting for people in the background to move, them to empty/refill with sand (ex: 3rd picture), ect.

View from second floor.

Starting on a ring. Also liked how the black and white pictures looked.

Now for some blue.

Took a video of the closing ceremony so not many pictures. (no pictures returning the sand to a creek)

I was a but off center of the table so the pictures look un-level. (second floor has a circle opening, so they centered the table on the first)

That's amazing! All that work and swept up and put back in a creek........

Thanks for posting.

Love seeing these, although it bothers me a bit to see them destroyed after so much work.

That's just beautiful.

I used to make doodles with colored pens that looked a little like that, but nowhere near as good, and without the symmetries. I would sit doodling during a long meeting. Sometimes people thought I wasn't paying attention, but it's a different part of the brain. I was fully aware of what was being said and could participate with no trouble. The advantage of what I did is that it wasn't wiped out at the end of the meeting. I still have some of them.

Somehow I knew they were going to mess that up in the end. I remember hearing about those paintings and they always messed them up. That wouldnt work around my house. The grandkids wouldnt let it go five minutes before they would wipe it out. Beautiful work! Very nice post!

Amazing patience and then returned to it's original state. it's amazing how all those bright colors separated and then when it is swept back into the container it merges back to grey. Thank you for sharing. Truly inspirational!

I remember years ago they did one at the American Museum of Natural History, in the Tibetan exhibet in the Hall, of Asian Peoples.

I think it took them three hours to do the guild lines.

They had a table set up for people to work on a smaller and simpler design. Didn't look bad considering kids were doing the majority of the from what I saw.

Spiritual art work, thank you for sharing
