looking for a korambit, being a short knife fan-LaGriffe, Harpy. was told mandemuda.com was the real deal for indonesian blades. can anyone confirm or deny, prices/quality?

I've never seen those korambits except on that site but you might want to take a look at Kris Cutlery as well. Good stuff and nice folks.

Hello,

Some sad news. Read about this in r.m-a and a WWW forum that Pendekar Herman Suwanda (Mande Muda pencak silat), his wife Shannon and three other people (San Min Chun, Franziska Valena Holz and Carsten Domke) died yesterday in a car crash over in Germany.

It sucks all these great MAists are passing away in their prime (PG Edgar
Sulite, Guro Ted Lucaylucay, Terry Gibson come to mind, and Prof. Vee too).

My condolences to the Suwanda family and to the students of Pa Herman. RIP.
 
It must unfortunately be added that Pendekar Rudy Ter Linden has passed on as well.
 
Just a note to all that despite the tragic circumstances, the May camp at the Inosanto Academy has a chance of going on. While it obviously won't be the same, we are hoping Guru Inosanto will head the camp. May Pak Herman's legacy of Mande Muda Pencak Silat International continue to grow beyond his wildest dreams.

Deepest sympathy to the Suwanda family in Indonesia and Ibu Shannon's family back in Boston.

We already miss you, Pak and Shannon.
