I have a model 1772 Boker, Manifest Destiny series Texas Jack "The Alamo" slipjoint in carbon steel, does anyone else own one of these knives in the series?

Well the blades were slightly pitted and theblades, bolsters dull etc...
Because the knife was used it was to be one of my edc's.Iscrubbit up,sharpened it up and give it a nice patina, after a quick polish it was good to go!

Hello Don Luis, thanks for the link.
The Texas Jack pattern I have has excellent snap and has a great looking shield.
I just got a new digital camera but now I have to figure out how to post a pic here  ...I have never done it before.

To post pictures you have to put them in the Internet somewhere, take the link to the picture and put it in your post between Image tags, for example, if the picture is at http://www.whatever.com/ThePicture.jpg, you would post:

ThePicture.jpg

You may be able to use disk space provided by your ISP uploading with FTP or you can use a free picture site, I use:

http://tinypic.com

You can go there, click on the Browse button, find the picture in your computer, click on the Host it button, copy the picture link with the
B][B]...
tags and paste it in your post.

This site will keep your picture up for about a month (or so they say).

Don Luis,
Thank you for the pointers. When I figure out the DigiCam,I'll use your instructional as a guide.

I have a chance to buy the complete set minus the liberty knife. There are no boxes but the knives are all in excellent shape. How much do you think they are worth?
