I am a fan of WSK's

I do not believe they are the be all end all wilderness survival knife or that they are any better at this task than any other knife.

But I like them all the same and enjoy useing them and believe they can work well and have neat grinds and are a neat concept

I believe the Beck version which I have is the cadillac of the wsk's but do to there rarity these days and there excessive prices mine has been retired.

I have a Martin version which is a fine example but I am always looking for different versions .

The other day I was on Ebay and found one from a maker named Mike Maniord. I did not bid on it but watched it go for more than I thought it would so i reached out to Mike and he quoted me a very resonable price and a quick turn around time.

So I placed an order with some different options and to my suprise about two weeks later I recieved pics and it should arrive tomorrow.

I requested a tapered tang and although the so called saw which is not ment to be used as a saw it is ment to be a notching device can be useful I requested a sharpened clip with out the saw

Once I get some time with it I will let you all know how it performs

That is my favorite example of one of those. I love that. Not a fan of the sawteeth. Very cool variant.
