Phillip Dobson just sent me some pics of my Manix 2 and Persian 2 before mailing them back to me. I thought I would share the pics with the people here because they turned out great. I can't wait till they arrive.

I'll take it! pp info plskthx.

Seriously though, those look incredible.

did I mention that I'll take it? :). i'm jealous.

The Manix uses cocobolo wood for the handles. I had Phillip give the blade a FFG. It turned out better then I had hoped.

This is the only Persian2, which I really like. The knife look lovely. You made me want one. Phillip Dobson is doing a great job.
Congrats, enjoy.

Yeah the Persian 2 is a boring knife especially when compared to the original. It didn't really seem like an EDC knife or a gentlemen's folder. Before I bought it I was looking for one of the originals but didn't feel like paying the premium for a discontinued knife. If there ever is a Persian 3 I hope they go back to the original design but with a different bolster/handle combination. Also make it so it can be disassembled.

Lol, someone jealous of my knives, that's a first. Usually it is the other way around.

Excellent work and two extremely attractive knives. It's incredible how much handle material can change the way we view a knife.

After release of the sprint price for original c83 went down a bit. If you patient, you certainly will be able to buy for much less than P2 + custom work. Watch secondary market.

Stunning! Two questions for you though...

1. Is the wood stabilized?

2. What is the contact info for Mr. Dobson?

These are seriously beautiful. How much does it cost to get something like the carbonfiber/wood scales made?
