I'm sure I saw this in stock at blade HQ earlier today. Now I don't. Did I see right? Have I missed the boat in a few hours?

I'm surprised there's not more love for this. The vote on the spyderco forum is mostly a no for this one. I personally love it and the steel too.
Have you ever actually held a Manix 2 with full liners and one with skeletonized liners at the same time? I just did and honestly, there's not as much of a difference as you might think. My Manix 2 S30V (full liners) weighs 4.860 oz and my 52100 (skeletonized) weighs 4.305 oz. So there's an actual difference of .555 oz. That might seem like a lot but in hand it doesn't actually feel like much. I can feel the difference but barely. I prefer the skeletonized liners too but the difference is definitely not something that would keep from buying a knife that I liked. It's the full liners. They add an insignificant amount of extra sturdiness and an excessive amount of weight. The burled handle is also a hit or miss for some. As for myself, I would have overlooked the handle if it had skeletonized liners, simply because it was a good steel combo, but with the liners I couldn't see it.
