Manix 2 Blade Swap

I have a Manix 2, with a saber grind, which I don't really care for, but I love the G10. I see they sell a Manix 2, with a FFG, but I don't like the blue handle. I was thinking about buying the FFG, and swapping the blades, but with the ball lock, I wonder about the difficulty. Has anybody ever done this before? Difficulty?

how do you feel about green scales? You can get a stag arms manix, which is FFG S30V.

The blue lightweight manix is rivited together so taking it apart will not be easy. Also for what you'd have into both knives you could find a sprint FFG with a higher grade blade steel.
 
I tried swapping blades between a couple of Manix 2s to see if I could...it's possible, at least on the models that screw together...although I ended up having to remove all the lock parts each time, and it's a bit fiddly getting everything back where it belongs, taking care not to strip screws, taking care to not put the ball holder in upside down...but not too difficult with the right tools and a good clean work surface (the screws and ball are small and hard to find if you drop them on the floor...)
 
sell them both and get a Manix 2 CTS-BD30P Sprint Run. Model: C101GPBD30P2. I have one and its exactly what i wanted and the reasons were the same as you. I also have the lightweight.
