Next to a Mini Grip. I am carrying the Manix 2 at work today so I was able to get these pictures now.

Tonight when I get home I will take some detailed side by side shots of the old small and large Manixes next to the Manix 2.

The blade thickness on the Manix 2 measure 1/8" from the tang until 3/4" where it begins to taper to the tip.

Thanks for the comparisons Reeek. I look forward to seeing the all Manix shots.:thumbup:

Thanks for the requested pictures. The blade tip on the Manix does look pretty beefy.

No problem and yes, I don't think most of us would be snapping the Manix 2 tip very often . . .

I'll say another thing about the Manix 2 I have, the blade doesn't have an "overworked" appearance to it. Unlike many FFG blades. It almost seems like the blanks Spyderco gets for these knives are pre-sized and finished as much as possible. It's a very fine looking piece of steel and it also looks like the grinders and machinery blades were still new and sharp when they finished this knife. Here are some super close pictures to try and show what I mean:

Awesome pictures:thumbup: I think there are waaayy too many people knocking this knife without giving it a chance. This comes amazingly close to my ideal "heavy-use" folder when all its qualities are put together in a price that doesn't keep me from using it.

Keep the pics coming:thumbup::)
