Manix 2 Blister Pack??

Just got my first ever plain jane (non-sprint) Manix 2, and to my great surprise it showed up in a blister pack that doesn't even have the knife's name on it.

The knife is flawless, but the packaging is a bit concerning I guess.

Did I get something weird? Maybe from a PX? Tell me it's not a fake please!!

It's real !! Many stores carry spydies packaged this way . I personally like the boxes but it won't effect the knife at all ;)
 
Lol blister packs bleh. No more blister packs for me. Impossible to inspect the knife.
 
I bought a delica at gander mountain in a blister pack. Knife had horrible f&f so I took it back. Will not take the chance again.

Read somewhere that the blister packs were meant to be for PXs and big box stores. Basically not to have to have the knives in a display case requiring someone to behind the counter I suppose.
 
Like you, I worry blister packs will not become a trend.

I only got one spydie in a blister pack and it was a SS delica. It was a real PITA to open. Needed a really sharp and small knife just the puncture the plastic enough not to go through and hit the knife.

Also, like others mentioned I like having boxes and these blisters do not store well.
