Hey guys. I have seen so many of these guys go on the forums recently but cant seem to get my hands on one. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get one? And more importantly is sypderco going to release any new flat ground manix's in the future?
 
Well the carpenter steel version will probably be easier to find. There is still the second half of the run that is not made. I was told a Spyderco rep was asked and that they would be made in August/September. So there is still a chance to get one from a store if you look and can wait a month or so. Also, if you check the for sale section a couple times a day I'm sure you can find one with a little work.

I'm pretty sure it (Blue G10 version) was a very small limited run that sold out pretty much before they were released. You'll just need to keep checking out the exchange forum here or maybe ebay if you want to grab one.

I believe it was 500 pieces . . .
 
I recently got one off the exchange. If you keep your eyes open and are ready to pay a bit of a premium, you should be able to track one down.

Good luck and I hope you're able to get one. It is a very nice knife.
 
I know that not long ago the SFO had some dealer returns (!). If you're willing to pay MSRP, that may still be a source. Personally, I'd rather deal with SFO at MSRP than the big auction site and the unpredictabilities of auction sellers if you can't find one in the for sale forum.
