Just got it in today! and installed new Putman scales.

It's about a 1/4 oz lighter at 5 oz than the identically equipped S30V hollow ground in the pictures. I have no idea about the QC in regards to the scales and materials used but I'm assuming they're identical so the weight reduction is the difference in blade grinds.
Nice satin finish on the FFG. I posed the polished blades for contrast and the others just for the shameless exhibition of my Allen Putman acquisitions. ;)
I apologize for no pictures of the Manix 2 FFG in its stock form.

Are the liners skeletonized? Pic? There's been some confusion about wether or not they are. Nice scales btw.

Very nice. I work on a few Manix knives. But I would love to have a clip like that. Can you tell me where it came from? I love the FFG. I have an XL coming for myself tomorrow.

I thought they were going to be skeletonized as well but they aren't. Still just over 1/4 oz lighter than the hollow ground and I'd imagine skeletonizing the liners might shave off another 1/3 oz maybe.
I'm having a brainstorm right now and it involves my old plasma cutter sitting in a friends shop. :)

The clip comes from a member here theoriginalspaceman is his forum handle if I remember correctly.
The Manix XL clip screws are a bit larger and the clip (that is pictured above) needed to be tweaked a bit to get the screws installed. Just simply bent the clip with needle nose pliers till the screws went in then bent it back then installed. A little fiddly but worked just fine. Didn't require much bending, maybe a mm or so.
