As a newly converted Spyderco fanboy, I’m really enjoying dialing the Manix 2 in to the perfect fidget toy with a nearly perfect blade (stropped the M390 to the stickiest edge ever). I’m wondering if anyone has swapped the scales and if you found this ruined the lanyard tube or the G10 scales in the process and what you did to remedy this? I haven’t attempted anything yet. I notice a lot of folks swap their PM2 and Para 3 tubes with titanium ones, sometimes even all the screws as well. So I guess it’s 2 questions; the Manix barrel but also if you’ve swapped out your screws for titanium on any Spyderco, did you end up regretting it? Are they easy to strip versus most factory screws? I use my knives and like to keep them maintained, so I anticipate opening them occasionally, would this make titanium screws a bad idea?
As an side, I have ordered the titanium cage and a ceramic ball bearing so I’ll add those first and post some pics as I go along. Thanks for all your input…
