Manix 2 lanyard hole...

Is there anyway to fix it when it's loose? I'm assuming it's press fitted, and I tried to clamp it down to see if it'd snap into place but no luck.

I believe that the lanyard pipe on the Manix 2 is slightly flanged and that may be why you're having difficulty...a bit more force may pop it in to place, just be careful.

The only way I found was to clamp the scales tight around the hole and use a metal rod to expand the lanyard tube out very gently. It's the only part of the Manix 2 design I'm not in love with. (Sorry, Eric) Otherwise, the thing's a home run.

The lanyard tube on my 154CM Manix 2 was loose and rattled when shook. I took some wood screws, cut off the heads and stuck them on either side of the lanyard tube in a vise. I gently tightened the vise while checking along the way. When the tube was tight and no longer rattled, I stopped.

That's strange - my CTS-XHP Manix 2 was one of the hardest knives I've ever attempted to take apart because I literally had to force the scales off of the lanyard tube - it was seriously tight and when putting them back on, it's like it was even tighter (I dyed the scales - otherwise, I wouldn't have taken them off).

They're supposed to be like that. They are flared on the ends to keep the butt end solid.
