Manix 2 lightweight pinned construction with blade play?

Hey I have just received a manix 2 lightweight with pinned construction today. But the blade is off centered and the blade has some side to side play. Has anyone seen this in there manix? If so what could I do to fix it? Or any advice or what not would help.

Mine has a bit of blade play, its all good since its made of plastic and not going to be used hard.

Have you called Spyderco? I would start there, though they may tell you its "in spec".

Just checked my manix 2. Little play, but will not affect how the knife performs.

Side to side play in a pinned knife can be fixed in the same way as it's done on traditional slipjoints: with a hammer. Do it VERY gently because if you go to far you'll make it too hard to open. Just lightly tap the pin, then try opening and closing it, check for play; repeat those steps until you solve the problem.

If you're in the US, getting in touch with Spyderco before trying any DYI solutions would be the clever thing to do.

Mine has a torx pivot and i was able to fix the play and off centering. The rest of the hardware is pins though. Is mine just that new and they made the change? I got it from a reputable dealer as well.
