manix 2 price vs ukpk/urban?

The slipit prices threw me off a little, but especially with the manix 2's $20 lower msrp. BBL, liners with copious jimping, longer blade/handle, polished clip, lanyard piping, made in the same place to the same quality, etc.

Is there any clarification on the slipit pricing?
 
Part of it is the cost of S30V compared to the cost of 154CM. Part of it is the simple fact that those Slipits are not as easy to make as they look. Full flat grind is done one side at a time, where hollow grind is done on both sides at once, cutting out a manufacturing step (and therefore reducing expensive labor). There may even be a difference in the G-10, since it is load-bearing on the Slipits, but not on the Manix 2.
 
The important part to remember is that prices are directly tied to manufacturing cost. These numbers aren't pulled out of a hat.
