Manix 2 question...

I'm thinkin' about purchase a manix 2.
the old model (I think) is the one with the G10 handle and hollow ground blade, 154cm
I love the blade design and the steel but don't really like the grind especially on a spydie blade. I much prefer a FFG blade. And there is another version of it, I think the new modle with FFG and the somewhat blue plastic handle in BD1 steel.
I just wanna know some opinions of you guys about the:
1) BD1 steel, how does it compare to 154cm or vg10 in terms of ege holding ability?
2)the plastic or clear zytel handle how does it compare o g10 or spydie FRN?
3)I've heard some guys and have seen a video about the ball bearing lock failure, can anyone explain me why

4) where can I get the sprint run model? you know s30v FFG model with blue G10.

The new FFG lightweight manix2 in BD1 is not out yet. It shouldn't be too much longer.
1. I don't have any experience with this particular steel, but its supposed to be comparable to GIN 1 which I really like. It doesn't seem to hold an edge quite as long as vg 10, YMMV.
2. Don't know it's not out yet but I am sure it will be more than adequate.
3. The CBL has been refined since this video. I've never had a problem with it, even before said video.
4. On the secondary market.

actually I have no problem with Spyderco FRN, just thinkin' that g10 must be better.
And I don't think the BD1 steel is suc, just curious about it.
the only, and big problem I think, is the lockin' mechanism.
Just don't think that they're out of the sprint run modle
