I was wondering if anyone had more info about the new manix2, C101G2. The picture appears to be a FFG blade however the description states it's a hollow grind. There was a post here a few days ago that showed pics and it indeed did have a FFG but the ball bearing cage was clear instead of black as depicted in the online catalog. Anyone have any insight?

I've been waiting for this one ! Pretty excited about the FFG blade. Is there any weight difference in the gen2 ?

I hope the skeletonize it better. Mark me down for one either way tho, ffg on the smaller manix is going to be very niiiiiiiice!

Where are some pics of it?

Spyderco's site:

The next knife I buy will probably be the ffg black blade model when its available. Its fantasic that they finally made the ffg in a production model (not just the lightweight model) :D

I saw one website that had a few in stock a couple days ago and they said the new model is 4.9oz as opposed to the old model at 5.25oz. I'm assuming the weight difference is due to the grind change and possible skeletonized liners.

What site?

One other thing that may be of interest is that the 2014 Manix 2 is "tumbled" not satin. I am looking forward to seeing these hit the streets too. I would like to see some pics of the tumbling.

I was wondering if it will change the wight . Is the blade going to be the same thickness . Is "tumbled" the same as stone wash ?

Just got one. The stone wash is low luster. The button is clear plastic and the liners are not skeletonized.

PLEASE Spyderco make a camo g10 satin version of this blade. Looks sweet. On my list this year.
