Manix 2 skinny scales

Just installed some Rockscale design skinny scales and they are great. Excellent feel, I like getting rid of the liners with all the excessive jimping. The only thing I dislike is that the lanyard tube isn't snug and it rattles a bit. Overall I'm happy with this version but I'm going to look into somehow fixing the rattle.

Also, replaced the ballcage with a titanium one and the ball with a ceramic. I tried a reduced spring but didn't like it, IMO it made the lock too weak and also more effort to deploy the blade because there's less of a detent.

To re-flare the lanyard tube.
Find a Archery store. See if you can get just one
100g target tip..

Have a soft non-maring back stop to support while you hammer.
Insert the archery tip into the lanyard tube. Gently tap to flare each side of the lanyard tube.

For my Rockscale ones they come that way. Just buy the scales and assemble without the lines, easy

FYI I found that the standard Lynch deep carry clip didn't feel very good with these scales. Because of how high the clip screws into the scales there's an uncomfortable corner of clip sticking out. The lynch para 3 clip foxes this perfectly, I'd highly recommend it if your go with these scales.
