manix 2 v. mini skirmish

just playing with these two, and can't help notice some similarities in the way the feel in hand. even their designs are somewhat similar, excluding the locking mechanisms. thoughts?

Well they do have some similar ergonomics I guess but they dont look too similar to me.
Both are great designs and I want to try em out some day. I had an original Manix and it was very ergonomic.

Judging by your forum name, I would guess we have the same real name heh

Manix2 all the way:thumbup:. Actually I don't even like the Manix2 too much. But having handled both, the Manix2 is still my first choice.

To be honest...it's hard to imagine folding knives that different. Different handle materials, different weights, very different blade shapes, different handle shape, different locking mechanisms....they both have S30V here, but that's only because it's a special edition.

Not to rain on your parade though. They're both awesome knives. I'm particularly fond of the 635 myself. Too bad they're hideously rare and expensive now. Should have bought one back in the day...
