Keep it, and Krein it if you want a FFG. I'm liking the hollow grind well enough, and it isn't far behind the Manix, and actually cuts better on shallow slices started near the choil, while the Manix is better at cutting when you use the tips. My Manix needs a regrind to reset it's edge back in the .020" or under class, as over it's 2 plus years of super hard use and lots of sharpening it and sharpening out chips from more abusive type use the edge has thckened up substantially. The Manix 2 will probably go in to get a FFG to .015" or so, but the currect .025" edge with it's hollow grind and very acute angle are surprisingly good cutters and will definately hold up to super hard beater use. I think the BBL will stay rock solid no matter how much abuse it goes through, where the lock back in the Manix is still very solid after a couple years of abuse but has always has a tad of vertical play and probably has a bit more after chopping, very hard cuts, and other fun stuff. I really think the Manix 2 is an ergonomic and functional improvement over the original Manix with it's excellent caged BBL (I first saw and loved this on my Dad's P'Kal and think it is a great lock) that helps make the knife stronger and lighter than the original. For the $80 I paid Tom Berry I think I got one hell of a knife that will last me a long time and will take a beating and keep on ticking. Kudos to Eric Glesser and Spyderco for coming up with such an excellent value for it's customers. I really hope that this knife turns outto be a great seller, and at it's price point when you look at the competition I think it is by far the best knife for the money in the hard use knife class ( with the Stretch 2 taking the perfect EDC super slicer top value honors).
