I have an opportunity to trade my new Manix 2 XL for a brand new PM2 tomorrow (both knives G-10 with satin blades). Do you agree that this would be a good trade ? Thoughts please ? Thanks in advance ...
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:

Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
The PM2 is worth a few dollars more so IMO you'd be getting the better end of the deal...unless it's a fake. Then, you know, it wouldn't be a very good deal at all.![]()
If you want the PM2 more then it's a good trade...

Either way both a great knives but the PM2 is harder to obtain and I find it fills my personal needs better then the XL.
What's your gut tell you? Depends on which one you truly want. Can not go wrong with either. But I am partial to my PM2. Just research that model and make sure you are not getting a fake. Or do you trust the person with the PM2
I think its a good trade unless the PM2 is fake or has been abused. I just haven't been able to warm up to the ball bearing lock on the Manix. The compression lock on the PM2 is much better.
I just did a quick online search of a couple blade forum sponsors and had no problem finding PM2s. Not in all varieties but not a rare knife. GP has the black/satin.

The manix 2 is technically worth a few $$ less than the PM2....which I don't really get. The manix sure does look more expensive to produce, and has features that the PM2 doesn't.
That being said, I'd rather have the PM2 than the manix 2, and I have both. I carry the manix more, but I like the PM2 better.
