I'm definitely not the type of person that can make up their mind. Especially with knives. One week I'm in love with my sebenza the next my military then griptilian etc. i bought a manix 2 xl 3 months ago and it hasn't been put away yet nor have I carried anything else. I love the lock, which is my favorite part of a benchmade, the axis type lock. The leaf blade is my favorite blade shape I've ever used/seen. I almost bought a tenacious a year or so ago just to have a leaf shaped blade. The g 10 is the favorite part of my military and the only other knife besides the military that has g10. The size is perfect as well as the blade steel. I wish it had a more deep carry clip but it's not a huge issue. I could probably get rid of all my knives and buy a few manix variations and be happy with my choice. Awesome knife for 95$! I've had to sharpen it once in 3 months of almost daily use.
 
I just got one today. I was on the fence till I compared it to my EDC Endura. Same basic size and cutting edge length. It just looks huge when you open it.

That's what I thought about my military when I got it but now I see how light and streamlined it is compared to the xl
 
The Manix 2 XL is a fantastic deal for the price. Mine had the sharpest factory edge of any knife I've had. The bevels were nice and wide yet seem very even too. I almost bought another Adamas instead of the 2 XL, but I'm glad I didn't.
 
The regular Manix 2 is my all-time favorite; it's honestly my favorite design they have made. It kicks every other knife out of my pocket on most days.

I received a Manix 2 (G-10) about one month ago, I like it. (It's my one and only real knife now.) I'm undecided if I should buy a Manx 2 XL or Paramilitary 2 next...
 
I agree, its my favorite knife that I have ever had. I have a black dlc one and the cf/s90v one as well, I will buy every variation that comes out in the future.

I don't have the manix xl, but I'm gonna have to say go for the Para 2. There's a reason why it sells so well.
 
The Manix XL is my favorite spyderco design to date. The PM2 and others are phenomenal, and perhaps even more useful to me day-to-day, but sometimes favorites don't need a reason.
