Hi all. Just a DIY FYI for you Manix 2 XL owners who might be weird like me about the aesthetic of occluding your lanyard holes when installing deep carry clips:
I recently reached out to Casey Lynch regarding his Para 3 offset deep carry clip, because it looked to me like it might just have the same relative clearance for the lanyard tube as the M2XL. That said, I noted the pocket clip screw holes on the M2XL are offset in the opposite direction (L to R from center) from the lanyard tube than on the Para 3. So, in order to have a right hand offset deep carry clip for the M2XL, I purchased a left hand one to try it out. Lo and behold, it works just fine. I will say the loopover of the clip does extend flush to the very edge of the back (heel of the palm area) of the handle scale, but it certainly isn’t painful or bothersome to my hand in use. Could be a dealbreaker for others.
Casey advised I wasn’t the first to think of it, but thought I’d share my experience here for anyone looking for an option beyond the MXGs or others that don’t consider the placement of the lanyard hole.
As always, Casey was great to deal with, and the product is top notch with that famous personalized packaging.
Sorry I have not paid for a membership yet to post photos.
