Which one would you get? I found the adamas for a relatively cheap price and the manix 2 xl for a good price as well, but which one would be the better knife in your opinion?

I have both and really like both, it depends more on what you want though, the Adamas is definitely thicker in both handle and blade, with a thick saber grind, which means its going to be able to stand up to a lot more abuse/prying etc, while the Manix 2 XL while still quite sturdy has a thinner blade stock and a FFG which means better cutting/slicing ability but it won't stand up to as much abuse. It's quite a wide blade so it carries wide, but a much thinner handle than the Adamas. So if you are treating it more like a knife and want more slicing ability go Manix 2 XL, if you want a tank that you can beat on while giving up some of that cutting ability go Adamas.

Thanks for your response michaelm466, i was leaning towards the adamas for just being a beefy, heavier knife. I like that collection of knives right there, family of
abusers

I'd go with the Adamas. It's got great ergonomics, a pretty deep carry pocket clip, an easier to use lock, and a super strong blade.

As said above, it really depends on what you plan to use it for. I don't have the Spyderco you are looking at, but I do have the Adamas, 3 in fact, and I really, really like this knife. It is a heavy duty folder with an excellent lock. My vote is for the Adamas, simply because I have it!

I have the Manix and its awesome, its a great slicer and very strong sturdy feel to it. This knife can handle anything you would want to do with a folder anyways, anything it can't handle you shouldn't be doing.
