Manix 2 XL sprint ideas

With all the Manix 2 sprints out there, there's been not so much love for the XL variant! Besides the S90V and I think a moonglow, we don't have much to choose from. I personally love the Manix XL, anyone else? What would you guys like to see in a Manix XL sprint? For me it's an XHP and brown G10, a regualr oramge G10 variant, or 3V with really any colored G10

I'd love to see it it Maxamet, a Blurple one would be sweet and I'd honestly be very excited to see the XL get the lightweight treatment. Oh, and 4V would make me drool as well.

Almost forgot, micarta scales would make me happy.
 
Any non-stainless steel such as 3V, 4V, M4, 52100, Cruwear or 3V. (I already have S90V.)
Maybe a scale color other than black. (I already have black and CF.)
 
I'd be happy with plain old 1095 in all seriousness. It's a hard use knife. If I don't think that I can socially wear a fixed blade the XL is what I carry.

Just one thought though. If the blade isn't going to be a stainless please coat it black. The XL ain't no safe queen.

Great idea the XL is my favorite by far I would love to see any number of sprints s35vn m390, cts204p, 20cv, and I must eco the comment above about the blurple that would be great! As for colours I'm less picky but something bright is always fun especially from Spyderco.
 
I personally, would love to see a Foliage Green Manix XL, with the axis lock..
Maybe a Heavier blade, not lighter.. (seems odd, right)...

I own Many and love carrying my OG Manix!
I just recently decided I wanted to try something newer.. That night, a CF/s90v, popped up in the classifieds.. it showed up today!!!

Very disappointed.. well... Maybe that's the wrong word...

I think the Manix XL weighs less then my G10 Delica! (Not really but wholly cow is it light!)

Something about grabbing ahold of the Beast of a lock blade, that makes me smile!

I don't know if it's the thinner handle or thinner blade or lighter weight.. but it's not the same! (Nothing wrong with Any of the above...)
Then again.. I could get use to it and love it!

Anyways.. no blurple! It's a production color... Unless your making a blurple/s110v production model?

Cruwear would be cool.. whatever the blade steel, I'm agreed with above.. a DLC coated blade, would be Killer!!!

DLC blade, Foliage scales... I'm in!
 
Did you file off the jimping? I really could do without the big jimping on the entire manix series.

^^^^^ no sir.. the original Manix, didn't have all the jimping.. just on the thumb ramp, on mine.
 
DLC Maxamet Wharncliffe blade with linerless fluted titanium scales. Now that's a sprint! Shame about the $700 price tag though.

Well these are all high performance stainless steels, and the Manix 2 XL already comes in S90V which is equal to or better than that list, which is why I suggested one of the high performance non-stainless steels.
 
M390 or cts204p steel would make a great xl. Keep the g10 scales to keep the price down.

I love the manix xl and wouldn't change much except maybe lose the jimping on the handle and make a variation in D2 with OD Green scales.
