hey guys, great forum. i really like the looks of the spyderco mini manix and heard nothing but good reviews, so im wanting to buy one. the only thing is is that it looks really wide. with it in your pocket does it take up your whole pocket, or does it just look wider that it really is? pictures would fantastic too, thanks a lot guys!

I tried a Manix in a passaround and it was extremely wide in the pocket. It took up roughly half of my pocket. I asked someone with a mini Manix for the width measurements and they were almost identical. Sorry I can't find that thread but yes, the mini Manix is a pocket hog. If you carry your wallet in your back or offhand pocket it shouldn't be a problem. The Manix is a fantastic knife and I hear the same about it's little brother.

If you are worried than Manix and Mini-Manix are too wide, check out the Military and Paramilitary.

They also have G-10 scales and S30V blades, but because of their nester liner (Military) and nested compression (Paramilitary) locks, they are very thin.
