I have never seen a regular Manix 2 with a backspacer.
I wanted to take a quick break and try something I always wanted to do.
So I came up with some ideas and created a backspacer to pimp my Spyderco Manix Cruwear Sprint.

I used some new material I just ordered. Purple Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber. I thought it would look really good to offset the grey handles. Its cloudy and raining here so I couldn't take any nice photos outside with my phone so here are some indoor photos until I can take some better ones when the sun comes out. I'm really pleased with my creation and it adds more to the grip in the palm without any hot spots. I will create more for all my other Manix's.

As always let me know what you think :) I always appreciate the feedback.

Better pics as promised!

Looks nice!
How did you get it to stay in place? There are no screws on that end of the knife.

Exactly why it's never been done ;)

Ancient secret or somethin'?
I've seen thru screws on the clip screws to hold the back end together after custom scale installation?? That would do the trick short of drilling new holes or using an adhesive.
Great job though.

That and/or having protrusions that stick into the skeletonized holes in the liners would likely do the trick. Only way we'll know for sure is if Eric is kind enough to tell us

I would like to know how this was done as well. I'm going to guess epoxy, but it could just be a mock up. I think it looks very well done regardless.
