I want to buy a Manix but the only way I'm getting one around where I live is by mail. Therefore, I can't handle it first. My question to any Manix owners is does the position of the clip make the Manix ride so high in the pocket that it is easilly visible? From viewing pictures of the knife, it looks like it would ride pretty high.

Welcome to the forums. I don't think the Manix sticks out much more than most other knives. If you live in a place where it matters if you have a knife clipped in your pocket, a Manix may not be the best choice. It is a fairly large knife. It does have holes already tapped for 4 different clip positions (left and right handed, tip up, tip down) so you have a few options. You could always carry IWB if showing your knife is a concern. I've never had a problem with any of my knives and I've been carrying for years and years. There are some knives with low-rider clips, but I've never found any that I like. If you wear black pants a lot when you carry your Manix, it would be pretty tough to spot. Khakis? Yes, people will see your knife.

Your personal demeanor is pretty important when it comes to what you can get away with carrying. If you look angry or menacing, people might notice the clip in your pocket. If you look friendly and pleasant, people have no reason to care what you are carrying. At least in my experience.

I own the Manix and I can say it does stick up a little more than most of my knives. Also the black clip can be either hit or miss depending on the color pants you are wearing because if you are wearing any kind of khakis or light colored jeans it will stick out. It doesnt stick out enough to really bother me and it was my most carried knife before I got my Large Classic Sebenza. I carry my Manix around on my college campus and were not supposed to carry knives, but no one including campus police has ever said anything to me so it cant be that noticable.
