I just got my passaround Manix and OMFG.
Anybody want a Chinnok? Seriously, I think mine is going to be going up on the trading block.
The specs, and photos by itself, simply do NOT do an adequate job of conveying the sheer visual PRESENCE of this knife.
There's something about the total surface area of the blade - the width - that makes me want to say "acreage". I'm sitting here laying it out next to a stack of other blades with nominally similar sized blades, and visually, it just says "Nope, I'm bigger." Chinook, Endura, D'Allara DP, Spec Bump, Pentagon Elite, Scimitar, Pinnacle, Presidio, Ares, 710, Timberline Worden - it just makes them look skinny marathonners next to a football player. (The Worden is kinda close.)
What actually visually balances it?
The BM Rukus.
Ok, now I NEED to hold a mini Manix.
Ok, there's a passaround thread and (I think a Review thread) for this particular piece, and I'll do write-ups there as the week goes on.
But for anyone else who hasn't seen one in person, just photos - I'm telling you, the damn thing is just bigger in person, that's all there is to it.
