Manix II Lockback.

I recently traded my Manix Cruwear for a few knives one of which was the Manix II lockback. I had a few lockbacks over the last few years and got rid of them all. I didn't like them because I could not Spydie flick them. When I opened up the Manix package I really liked the look of it. The smoother but grippy feel of the G-10 and the stoutness of the whole package. I was surprised by the fact that I really liked the knife, only problem is that I couldn't flick it. I decided to work on it a little and see what I could do.
A little bit of Nano oil and a few small pivot screw adjustments and lo and behold it became more or less flickable. I will say that it does need some serious wrist action but so what. It is going directly into my rotation. Who New.

My Delica 4 barely flicks but it's there, had to loosen more than I'd like and it's not nearly as fun as, say, the PM2.

Endura and Pac Salt flick open easily.

Also just picked up a lockback Manix 2. I can finger flick it much easier than thumb flick. But i've always used my index finger to do the spydie flick.. I could never do the middle finger flick.

I have a old caly3 that's worn in and butter smooth that I can Spidie/thumb flick open. I also have a native 5 that's getting there.

The springs tend to break in over time. My older backlocks flick with ease.

With a little practice you can flick open any Spydie backlock after the break in period in my experience.

I want this knife bad. I have too many knives at this point to have much interest in black G10 and S30V. Nothing wrong with either but it is taking a little more to get my wallet open at this point.

I am hopeful for a sprint or exclusive soon. Hopefully a Jade/M4 run from BHQ or maybe a Rex45 sprint in the future.

They are doing the Yojimbo and they did two obscure Lums in HAP40. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if we see all the Golden folders in Jade/M4. I hope for a ManixXL, Shaman and Manix Backlock.

I'd have a hard time not buying spares. A lot of people hate on back locks, but they are some of my favorites.
