Hi all, Im looking to buy a Manix 2 and was wondering what the difference between the c101gp2 and the c101g2 is? Thanks in advance.

C101G2 is the general designation for the Manix 2 with a black G-10 handle and a hollow ground 154-CM blade, regardless of edge type. C101GP2 is the specific SKU for the plain edged version of the C101G2.

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit and its function is to identify a specific product. Most people don't want to buy a C101G2 (black G-10 Manix 2 with a hollow ground 154-CM blade), they want to buy either a C101GP2 (black G-10 Manix 2 with a plain edged hollow ground 154-CM blade) or a C101GS2 (black G-10 Manix 2 with a serrated hollow ground 154-CM blade), or a C101GPS2 (black G-10 Manix 2 with a part serrated hollow ground 154-CM blade).

Sal Glesser has recently mentioned that they intend remaking the old Manix

Put aside other concerns :D

Where did you read that? he only news like that I have heard is a larger manix 2.
